What is The Dominion Post Digital Edition?

It is a digital replica of the printed newspaper, available for download from 6am on the day of publication.

What content is available?

The Dominion Post Digital Edition contains all newspaper content published from Monday to Saturday, with up to 2 weeks' worth of editions available at all times.

I am a current Dominion Post print subscriber, do I get complimentary access to the Digital Edition?

Yes, if you subscribe to The Dominion Post and it is delivered to your home, you are entitled to complimentary access to The Dominion Post Digital Edition. You can set up your complimentary access by clicking here.

How do I access The Dominion Post Digital Edition on an iPad?

Visit the iTunes App Store on your iPad and download The Dominion Post app for free.You will need to set up your Digital Edition access via dompost.mypaper.co.nz using a web browser. You will then be able to access the Digital Edition using the app with the username and password you have created upon registration.

How do I access The Dominion Post Digital Edition on an Android tablet?

Visit the Android Play Store on your Android Tabled and download The Dominion Post app for free. You will need to set up your Digital Edition access via dompost.mypaper.co.nz using a web browser. You will then be able to access the Digital Edition using the app with the username and password you have created upon registration.

How do I access The Dominion Post Digital Edition on my computer?

Accessing the computer version is as simple as visiting the Digital Edition home page and subscribing. Once subscribed, sign in to dompost.mypaper.co.nz and click 'remember me'.

Can I use The Dominion Post Digital Edition on both my iPad/Android tablet and my computer?

Yes, your subscription gives you access to both versions simultaneously. Use the desktop version on your main computer, and the iPad version on the go.

Can I complete the puzzles, in the digital edition, online?

Unfortunately you cannot complete the puzzles online, but you are able to print the puzzles page to complete the puzzles by hand.

Do I have to pay by direct debit, and from my credit card?

Yes, payment is to be made by direct debit, and from your credit card. We are unable to accept direct debit from a bank account and any other form of payment for Dominion Post Digital Subscriptions.

I'm having trouble with my print subscription.

How do I read the articles on the page, as the type is too small?

You can click on the article to bring it up in the article viewer. You may treat the page view as a graphical index to the stories on that page. To read articles or advertisements on your desktop, move the mouse over the article, and then click to load the requested item. On the iPad you can 'pinch' the page to zoom to the desired level.

What is the file size for each edition?

The size of each edition changes, depending on the amount of content in the paper - typically around 35MB - 50MB. The iPad edition can be preset to download over WiFi only, if required. It generally only takes a couple of minutes to download.

Can I print the Digital Edition pages and articles?

Yes for personal use only. There is a print to scale feature which allows the printing of any article onto a single page as well as the ability to print the full page.

Can I use text from the Digital Edition in a book / newsletter / website / etc?

Strictly for personal use only. In any other case where any type of publishing is involved, the text cannot be used without permission.

Can I use a photograph from the Digital Edition in a book / newsletter / website / etc?

Not without permission. Please note that not all photos that appear in The Dominion Post are copyright to Fairfax Media. Please email syndication@fairfaxmedia.co.nz with a description of the image and details of the publication date and page number and the Fairfax Media Photos team can advise further.

Can I sell the material from the online edition?

No. All material published is subject to the copyright laws of New Zealand and cannot be used or sold without the written permission of Fairfax Media.

Can I purchase a print of a photo that appeared in the paper?

Please email photosales@fairfaxmedia.co.nz with a description of the image and details of the publication date and page number and the Fairfax Media Photos team will be able to help.
